GummySearch alternative for Reddit lead monitoring
GummySearch closed to new signups on 2025-11-30. Its closing page said it was shutting down “to comply with Reddit's API policies, which forbid commercial applications”, after GummySearch could not reach a commercial licence agreement with Reddit. SignalSeek is a different tool and not a 1:1 replacement. It finds Reddit threads where a reply is worth writing, scores them, and writes a reply for the threads you pick. You post by hand.
- Get a short list of scored Reddit threads, not an audience report
- Ask for a reply written for that thread, checked before you see it
- SignalSeek never posts to Reddit. Not on any plan

What GummySearch was, and what it was for
GummySearch was an audience research tool for Reddit. You built audiences, each a set of subreddits for one type of customer. It grouped posts into themes such as Pain Points and Solution Requests, and it offered keyword tracking with notifications and AI summaries. Its product page said it covered 130,000 active subreddits, and its closing page said over 140,000 founders, marketers and investors used it.
SignalSeek does not do that job. It has no audiences, no themes and no reports. It does one narrower job: it watches Reddit for threads where someone describes the problem your product solves, scores each one, and writes a reply for the threads you pick. You post it by hand. That makes it a different tool, not a 1:1 replacement.
Why it closed
On 2025-11-06 GummySearch wrote that it had worked with Reddit on a commercial licence, and that “we were not able to reach an agreement that aligns with Reddit's Data API Usage policies”. Source: gummysearch.com/final-chapter.

Be honest
Pick SignalSeek if
You used GummySearch keyword tracking to find people asking for a solution
That is the one job SignalSeek does. It reads new posts and comments in the subreddits it picks, and it scores each one for whether a reply is worth writing.
You want a short list of scored threads, and a reply drafted for the ones you pick
A threshold gate drops the matches that score low. For a match you pick, SignalSeek writes a reply for that thread, checked by a guardrail scan and, by default, an AI judge.
You want to run campaigns from Claude
Add the SignalSeek connector in Claude on the web or in Claude Desktop, then work with your campaigns in a chat. Claude never posts. An MCP connector is not mentioned on gummysearch.com.
You post by hand
SignalSeek never posts to Reddit, on any plan, and you never connect a Reddit account to it. The reply goes out from your own account, when you choose.
The other side
SignalSeek is the wrong pick if
You need audience research
Themes, patterns and reports across a set of subreddits are audience research. GummySearch offered audiences, each a set of subreddits for one type of customer. SignalSeek has no audience, theme or report view. It surfaces single threads.
You need Slack or Discord delivery
GummySearch Pro listed a Slack and Discord integration. SignalSeek delivers to a digest email and to its own dashboard.
You need sites other than Reddit
SignalSeek reads Reddit only. No Hacker News, X, forums or the wider web.
GummySearch lists its own picks of alternatives at gummysearch.com/gummysearch-alternatives.
Q.01Is GummySearch still working?
GummySearch closed to new signups on 2025-11-30. Its closing page said that lifetime-deal holders keep access until 2026-11-30, and paid subscribers until the end of their billing period, at most one year. On 2025-11-06 GummySearch said it would shut down entirely on 2026-12-01 and delete all user data.
Q.02Why did GummySearch shut down?
It could not reach a commercial licence agreement with Reddit. On 2025-11-06 GummySearch wrote: "we were not able to reach an agreement that aligns with Reddit's Data API Usage policies". Its closing page on 2025-11-30 said it was shutting down "to comply with Reddit's API policies, which forbid commercial applications".
Q.03Is SignalSeek a 1:1 GummySearch replacement?
No. GummySearch was audience research: you built audiences of subreddits, read themes and AI summaries, and tracked keywords. SignalSeek does one narrower job. It watches Reddit for threads where someone describes the problem your product solves, scores each one, and writes a reply for the threads you pick. You post it by hand. It has no audiences, themes or reports.
Q.04Can I bring my GummySearch audiences over?
No. SignalSeek has no import. You describe your product, and SignalSeek generates the search terms and the subreddits from that description. You can add your own subreddits and remove the ones you do not want.
Q.05Does SignalSeek post to Reddit for me?
No, never. There is no posting feature on any plan and no step where you connect a Reddit account. You open the thread and post from your own account.
A short list of scored Reddit threads, and a reply when you want one
Reddit only. SignalSeek never writes to Reddit.
